Criteria & Constraints for Blades:
Available Materials:
Below is a list of materials that are available for use. Other materials may be available upon request and any materials brought in from home must be approved by teacher!
- Must be a HORIZONTAL class turbine.
- Blades may be a minimum of 5" and a maximum of 15” long. Blades may be a maximum of 6” wide.
- Blades should be equal in size and weight to prevent wobble.
- Blades should be designed to be as lightweight as possible.
- Each blade MUST include a dowel rod in order to attach to hub.
- Blades must use a minimum of 3 working materials (glue and tape do NOT count).
- Must choose 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 blades for final design.
